Local organizers added a seventh moment of silence to the 9/11 memorial ceremony in Beaumont to honor those who were lost.
The ceremony will take place tomorrow at the memorial site.
Saturday, Sept. 19, the 3rd annual Go 4 The Bell Gala will be held at Beaumont Civic Center to support families facing pediatric cancer with dinner, auctions, and live music (featuring Chris Cagle and The Jamie Talbert Band).
The event aims to help local families manage the costs of cancer care.

Jefferson County District Clerk Jamie Smith brings Passport Saturday offsite to the Mexican Heritage Festival on September 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bob Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur, where residents can obtain new+renew passports.
