- ➤ Beaumont’s 57th MLK Parade will be held Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. (starting at Lavaca and Highland) and will charge $5 per vehicle to benefit the Southeast Texas Food Bank, while also featuring a new Stop the Violence gun buyback program to address local safety concerns. Beaumont Enterprise

- ➤ Moyle Manor, a new Southern-style tea room serving sandwiches, scones and baked goods, held its ribbon cutting with the Greater Beaumont Chamber at its location (2090 Broadway St) on Jan. 9 and plans to finish building touches and apply for a liquor license ahead of its open house Friday.
