- ➤ Texas Roadhouse finished its indoor dining expansion that adds more seating and a new emergency exit at 6165 Eastex Fwy, reducing wait times. The project started last October and finished ahead of schedule, letting customers enjoy the improvements before mid-January. Beaumont Enterprise
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ TEA held its first community meeting at West Brook Performing Arts Center on Wednesday to discuss the state takeover of Beaumont ISD. The agency urged more candidates to apply for seven Board of Managers positions by mid-February (only 50 applications received so far) to guide the district's next steps. Beaumont Enterprise
- ➤ Local officials in Beaumont and nearby counties declared states of disaster on Jan. 23 and Jan. 24 as a winter storm brings freezing temperatures and icy conditions. Emergency plans are active for up to seven days to protect residents and property. 12 News Now
