- ➤ The Beaumont CVB will host its annual Hall of Fame next week (invitation-only) to honor meeting planners who brought about 80,000 visitors with more than 130 events last year. The city mayor will attend the event. 12 News Now
- ➤ Texas Roadhouse restaurants will donate 100% of their profits to the American Heart Association on Monday, Feb. 2, supporting founder Kent Taylor’s legacy in fighting tinnitus. Customers dining in or ordering to-go can help raise awareness at all 700 locations. KFDM

- ➤ Lumberton's Waffle House at 750 S Main St is closed for remodeling that began Jan. 5 and could reopen as soon as next week—customers can visit the nearby Silsbee location for breakfast staples. Beaumont Enterprise

- ➤ Symphony of Southeast Texas performed its 'Feel the Energy' Youth Education Concerts at Julie Rogers Theatre on Wednesday — the event featured Maestro Chelsea Tipton leading pieces by Beethoven and others and showcased student artwork and chorus performances that engaged local students. - ➤ The Lamar Institute of Technology is accepting new students into its EMS program to prepare them for careers as EMS providers, firefighters, industrial medical technicians, and safety technicians (lead EMS instructor Dustin Sites explained the program on Jan. 29). KFDM
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A boil water notice is in effect for Pinehurst's water system serving customers from 2508 MacArthur Dr to 2200 MacArthur Dr on the north side due to a main break, and residents must boil water for drinking, cooking, and washing.
