- ➤ Cabana Mariscos, a popular restaurant from Port Arthur, will open its new location at 1990 Interstate 10 Access Road in Beaumont. The former Texana Grill space along I-10 will soon offer shrimp + crawfish and other signature dishes for locals. Beaumont Enterprise
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ University of Houston is launching an online graduate certificate in Film and Media Production and Leadership to train 15 students for film production roles starting this summer. - ➤ Local residents gathered at Lamar University Saturday for the Be Well Beaumont event featuring live music, fitness, and a play area. - ➤ Doctors warned that this season’s flu vaccine is 30 to 40% effective after a late mutation changed the predicted strain; they advise Beaumont residents at higher risk (young children, older adults, and those with health issues) to wear masks and seek care if symptoms worsen as the season continues.
