- ➤ La Soirée at Beaumont Civic Center Saturday night featured a (Mystery on the Orient Express) theme with live music, fine dining, and auction items to raise funds for Baptist Hospitals Foundation and local care; it followed the opening of a new cancer center on College Street. - ➤ KFDM 6 News and Fox Southeast Texas launched the third Souper Bowl of Caring campaign on Monday, Feb. 2 to help the Southeast Texas Food Bank fight cuts in government funding by urging the public to donate food and funds. The campaign addresses food insecurity in Beaumont. KFDM

- ➤ Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.'s Alpha Chi Zeta Chapter will host its inaugural Harlem NightZ event this Saturday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. at Sarah Street Wellness Group on Sarah Street — celebrating Black History Month and the roaring twenties. KFDM

- ➤ A new analysis by OnlyGuider found that Jefferson County spent $1,507,909 on OnlyFans in 2025 while Chambers County recorded nearly $78,800 per 10,000 residents. The report combined census data & pricing estimates to show widespread spending across Southeast Texas. KFDM

- ➤ Beaumont city officials voted to accept a $1.9 million Texas Parks and Wildlife grant for upgrades at Alice Keith Park, including new pavilions, ADA-compliant improvements, expanded sports areas and enhanced amenities following last year's rejection of a larger bond package. KFDM
- ➤ The Lake Rayburn Fire Department opened Station No. 2 on Saturday on Farm to Market Road 1007 near Highway 96 to boost emergency response times in its eastern service area (Fire Chief Brett Holloway thanked volunteers for their help). Beaumont Enterprise
- ➤ ZIP Beaumont will reroute the Calder bus route from Calder to Phelan Road to cut delays from traffic, trains, and construction. The last run on the current route will be Feb. 14 while the new stops begin Feb. 16 as a permanent change to improve bus schedule reliability. 12 News Now
