- ➤ Beaumont first responders simulated a rescue on the roof of Baptist Hospital by practicing emergency care with a dummy representing a distressed maintenance worker. The drill helped prepare crews from Beaumont EMS and the Fire Department for real-life emergencies (improving response time and coordination). FOX 4 Beaumont
- ➤ TxDOT scheduled a traffic switch to begin Saturday, Feb. 21 that will affect motorists on Cardinal Dr. traveling northbound to IH-10 eastbound; a frontage road lane near Delaware St. will close on Friday, Feb. 27 — delays are expected. FOX 4 Beaumont
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Riceland Healthcare will open its new cancer center on its Beaumont campus this summer. The center will offer radiation, medical oncology, chemotherapy, and infusion services to help local families access care close to home. 12 News Now
