- ➤ The YMBL Southeast Texas State Fair will open in about three weeks, and the non-profit civic group behind it has served our community for over 100 years by leading local service projects and events. The fair is set to highlight the group's volunteer spirit and community efforts. KFDM

- ➤ Entertainer Amber Martin filled the Logon Cafe on Thursday with a cabaret-style show featuring her own hits + well-known local tunes, including a duet with Hunter Courts. The Southeast Texas native who grew up in Nederland gathered a crowd that included members of the Nederland High School class of 1988 and their moms. KFDM
- ➤ After months of cleanup and repairs from last summer’s flood caused by a burst pipe, the Texas Energy Museum has reopened in Beaumont with new exhibits and plans to digitize its historic collection — further improvements are underway to enhance the visitor experience. 12 News Now

- ➤ The TEA extended the Beaumont ISD Board of Managers application period after receiving strong local interest, leaving a new deadline to be announced. Applicants who advanced had to attend two-day governance training in Feb. 21-22 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and meet strict eligibility requirements. 12 News Now
- ➤ Port Arthur LNG announced today a scholarship fund awarding full tuition, books and fees to ten high school seniors from Jefferson and Orange Counties planning to study STEM at local schools (including Lamar University). - ➤ Jefferson County ESD No. 4 is seeking volunteers as emergency calls at the fire department have more than doubled, stretching its capacity to handle fires, vehicle crashes and medical emergencies in LaBelle, Fannett and Cheek — locals must be 18+ with a clean record to apply.
