  • NAACP Beaumont will host a candlelight vigil Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Event Center to address youth violence and support affected families — the event will also provide mental and spiritual health resources for community members.  FOX 4 Beaumont
  • The American Legion is holding a crawfish fundraiser this Friday, March 13 at 3 p.m. at Dorie Miller American Legion Post 817 on Cardinal Drive, offering a three-pound plate for $25 and featuring a speech by Commander Clifton Guillory; proceeds support veteran programs + local youth.  KFDM

  • ExxonMobil’s Rose carbon storage project in Jefferson County is moving forward in the state regulatory process with a prehearing scheduled soon in Austin, while residents in Cheek voiced safety concerns at a Beaumont town hall (the meeting focused on the project’s environmental impacts).  12 News Now
