ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A large sinkhole opened on North 6th Street near Calder after a water line leak caused a storm sewer inlet to collapse on Thursday evening, and city crews began repairs on Friday morning on the water line, storm sewer system, and roadway surface—officials said the road will remain closed over the weekend as they assess the erosion. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Friday night, the Rainbow Bridge closed for an 18-month maintenance project, and drivers were directed to use the Veterans Memorial Bridge where two lanes remained open in each direction — TxDOT engineers lowered the speed limit from 65 to 55 to improve safety. KFDM
