- ➤ Beaumont’s South Texas State Fair is set to open Thursday at Ford Park at 6 p.m. Organizers have added a clear bag policy plus wand screenings at three entry points to boost safety for families. 12 News Now

- ➤ Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick confirmed Monday morning that the shelter-in-place order has been lifted and roads reopened after a major fire and explosion at the Valero facility in Port Arthur (an industrial heater likely caused the explosion), with first responders reporting no injuries. - ➤ Valero said air tests by the company, fire department, and TCEQ detected no harmful chemicals following a refinery fire Monday night in Port Arthur.
