- ➤ Girls’ Haven in Beaumont is preparing for its Annual Benefit Golf Tournament (hosted by the Penland Foundation) to raise funds for at-risk girls in the community, and the event will support local support programs. KFDM
- ➤ The 100 Plus Black Women Coalition of Beaumont, Inc. hosted its 20th annual Black, Red, and Green Banquet Fundraiser on Saturday, March 28 at MCM Ele. The event raised funds for local initiatives and celebrated community strength. KFDM
- ➤ Cookie's Cancer Foundation hosts its 11th annual Easter weekend celebration in Port Arthur Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. with free food, carnival rides, a petting zoo and an Easter egg hunt that will scatter 3,500 eggs across the park (honoring a family tradition). 12 News Now

- ➤ Golden Pass LNG achieved first liquefied natural gas production from Train 1 at the Sabine Pass terminal Monday (a joint venture between QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil) and cleared the way for global exports to begin in the second quarter. 12 News Now
- ➤ New hemp regulations effective today limit THC to 0.3% and boost licensing fees, forcing Southeast Texas smoke shop owners to warn that many products will be removed and closures may follow as fees for manufacturer licenses rise from $258 to $10,000 & retail fees from $155 to $5,000. 12 News Now
- ➤ Golden Pass LNG began producing liquefied natural gas from Train 1 at its Sabine Pass Terminal today, marking a milestone reached after years of planning and construction. The joint venture of QatarEnergy & ExxonMobil plans to start exporting LNG internationally in the second quarter. KFDM

- ➤ Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission approved new proof of residency rules for recreational hunting and fishing licenses that go into effect August 1. The rules require a valid driver’s license or ID for residents and additional documents for nonresidents from 19 states or D.C. FOX 4 Beaumont
- ➤ Beginning Wednesday, SNAP recipients using the Lone Star Card will be restricted from buying candy, soda and snack items statewide. Gov Abbott said the change — aimed at steering benefits toward healthier food choices — will help redirect taxpayer dollars to nutrition. KFDM
