- ➤ Beaumont police are investigating a one-car crash on the Eastex Freeway service road near Dowlen Road that took one life Saturday afternoon; the victim was taken to a hospital and died there. KFDM
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Beaumont United’s Terrance Arceneaux and the University of Houston will play in the NCAA championship game against Florida after their win over Duke. The game will take place Monday night in San Antonio—broadcast on KFDM. KFDM
- ➤ Chandler Rivers, a Beaumont United graduate and defensive back at Duke University, will host his free youth football camp on May 10 at Doggett Stadium for players ages 12 to 18. The three-hour camp runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be followed by former coach Troy Esprit’s seminar on college recruitment, social media and academics at Buffalo Wild Wings.
