- ➤ Legacy Community Development Corporation asked City Council for $50,473 for unexpected renovation costs at its Broadway shelter, where eight housing units help people transition from homelessness to stability. - ➤ Silsbee Little Theater launches Calendar Girls opening night this Friday, April 10, with a local cast presenting a tale of friendship and resilience. Additional shows are scheduled later in April and May with $30 tickets including two drinks available online or at the door. KFDM
- ➤ 8-year-old Charlie Lott from China competes as a finalist in America’s Most Artistic Kid contest, which raises funds for blood cancer research; his finals take place mid-April, and he recently appeared on a noon TV show with his mother to discuss his passion for painting that began three years ago.
