The Beaumont Farmer's Market opens today at 8 a.m. and runs until 11 a.m. with local vendors selling fresh eggs, produce, meats, baked goods, pottery and homemade items; families using Lone Star or SNAP can receive market money by presenting their card at the information booth.

Today, the Beaumont Police Department unveiled a new women's locker room named the Legacy Lounge during a ribbon cutting ceremony led by the Chief of Police, honoring fallen officers Sheena Yarbrough-Powell and Lisa Beaulieu.

Community members supported the project by purchasing items from an Amazon wishlist organized by the Junior League—families of the officers also attended the event to express their gratitude.
