Trinity United Methodist Church is hosting its 65th annual art show today from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at (3430 Harrison Avenue) where a silent auction will benefit the Mary Grace Baker Memorial Fund honoring the eight-year-old Beaumont girl who died at Camp Mystic last July 4.

KFDM reported that local photojournalist Lincoln Edwards won Best Student Film for 'Find your Why' at the International Beverly Hills Film Festival last weekend — his film will be released Friday on YouTube.
The McFaddin-Ward House Museum will host the Symphony of Southeast Texas String Quartet — blending classical and modern tunes — in a free outdoor concert tomorrow, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. on its front lawn, with gates opening at 6 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.
The Gift of Life is preparing its anticipated Champagne & Ribs event that features a soulful Motown revival theme and will offer great food and live music in Beaumont soon.

Beaumont City Council tabled a $23M proposal for a residential development near Parkdale Mall that would offer 400 homes, walking trails, playgrounds, and public infrastructure improvements.
Mayor Roy West said further discussion (addressing timetables and infrastructure details) will occur in early May.
