ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A small industrial site on Hebert Road experienced a minor ethane gas leak from the Energy Transfer pipeline shortly before noon, prompting Beaumont Fire Rescue + mutual aid teams from the Sabine-Neches Chiefs Association to suppress vapor and cut off the leak while a nearby family sheltered in place. - ➤ Beaumont police say a funeral procession will begin today at 2:00 p.m. (from Broussard’s Mortuary McFaddin to Broussard’s Mortuary North Major) along Calder, Phelan and Dowlen to honor Deputy Heather Avery, who died Friday after an 18-wheeler struck her SUV on I-10 near Winnie, causing traffic delays.
