Community members gathered at the Beaumont Event Center on Friday, May 8 to raise support for Meals on Wheels programs that deliver nutritious meals + safety checks for seniors and disabled adults in the area.
The luncheon also honored local individuals and organizations making a lasting difference.

Beaumont ISD teachers are raising concerns over policy requiring classroom doors to remain open during instruction because it may risk safety (teacher Bridget Smith with 30 years' service noted open doors might slow emergency responses) and she plans to address the issue with district leadership.
