ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Wednesday afternoon, Esteban Mancera—who saw an 18-wheeler overturn on FM 418 north of Kountze—rescued 31-year-old Jared Edmonds after his leg got caught in wires following a collision with the truck and cut the wires with his pocket knife so Edmonds could get to a hospital. FOX 4 Beaumont
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Beaumont Police responded to an officer-involved shooting near Bethlehem Ave and Fillmore St—near a house fire where firefighters arrived before 12:15 p.m.—after neighbors reported a person shot at officers before being fatally shot, and a statement will be released later. 12 News Now
- ➤ Beaumont police confirmed an officer-involved shooting on Bethlehem Street at about 12:45 p.m. today; one person (a gunshot victim) is en route to hospital (no officers were injured). KFDM
- ➤ Kedrain Perkins, 26, pleaded guilty and today received a 55-year federal prison sentence for two murders committed in 2022 in Beaumont—ballistic links tied him to fatal shootings at Beaumont Heights Apartments and on Bethlehem Avenue. Beaumont Enterprise
