KFDM 6 News earned top honors at the 35th Annual Press Club of Southeast Texas Excellence in Media Awards held at the Elegante Hotel in Beaumont.
The team also honored longtime journalist Angel San Juan (35 years of service) with the Jack Pieper Legend Award.
🏛️ Government
The DPS has increased highway patrol on I-10 from Beaumont to Houston as travel rises during the FIFA World Cup.
Motorists are asked to slow down and move over for any stopped emergency vehicles+ helping to keep traffic safe during this busy period.
Residents in south Beaumont can now use tap water since laboratory tests confirmed the water is safe following a contractor connecting a sewer+water line off Highway 69.
The city lifted the Boil Water Notice on Saturday after completing all required corrective measures.
