- ➤ A Beaumont man, Tyree Renee Simon, 19, was sentenced to 10 years in prison after a judge confirmed surveillance video showed he lied about having a gun during an October beating at a Shell gas station on Concord Rd — the maximum sentence allowed under his plea agreement. 12 News Now
- ➤ Beaumont police issued an arrest warrant Monday for Asa Jones, 26, as a suspect in a road rage shooting that left a man with a gunshot wound to the face on the 8000 block of Eastex Freeway last Thursday—officers said the victim is in stable condition. KFDM
