- ➤ A sweet peach truck from Pearson Farm, Georgia's oldest orchard established in 1885, will arrive on July 9 to deliver fresh freestone peaches for a Young Life camp fundraiser. - ➤ K-9 Youp of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office helped officers find drugs, firearms, and cash during a traffic stop on June 19th near Edson Drive and Fieldwood Lane in west Beaumont — officers arrested suspects Jeffry Todd Blackburn and Michael Wayne Stites for controlled substance possession, with Blackburn also charged for unlawful firearm possession. - ➤ Larry Fitzgerald Williams, 54, was arrested in Houston at 6:45 a.m. Monday by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office for a fatal shooting on Delaware Street in Beaumont—police say he shot 51-year-old Brian Lewis while Lewis mowed his lawn and then fled on a motorcycle. Beaumont Enterprise
- ➤ Police say a 38-year-old man from Village Mills robbed a salesman at gunpoint and stole a brand-new 2025 Mustang during a test drive Friday near Silsbee Elementary School—deputies later arrested him on Highway 96 north of Buna. 12 News Now

- ➤ A Beaumont boxer, Quinton Thomas Jr., won a gold medal at the USA Boxing National Junior Olympics in Las Vegas after defeating five opponents in the 110-pound division, making him the No. 1 ranked intermediate male in the country.
