COMMUNITY NEWS

  • A quick-thinking caller rescued a turkey that was chased by two dogs on the 5200 block of Laurel Avenue in west Beaumont by keeping it safe in a car until ACO Hettinger and trainee ACO Nevils secured the dogs; if unclaimed the turkey will be available for adoption — the fee is $20.  KFDM

CRIME NEWS

  • Beaumont police investigated an aggravated assault when a woman allegedly struck a victim with her car on June 10—after a disturbance, a judge issued an arrest warrant for Dashun Robertson, 40, and officers sought witness Thaddeus Gobert, 43, to provide more details as the victim sustained multiple injuries.  KFDM
