Some Other Place partnered with Recovery Center (with a for-profit service) to offer on-site rehab referrals near Calder and McFaddin in Beaumont.
The collaboration has already placed 34 people in housing and will soon expand services with a new drug rehabilitation center.
🎓 Education
Hundreds of children aged 6 to 18 toured the Jefferson County Courthouse to learn how the justice system works and to build trust with law enforcement.
Organized by Save Our Children, volunteers guided the kids through courtrooms & provided real-life interactions with judges to inspire better choices.
🏛️ Government
After a former animal control officer resigned following a dog deaths case, Silsbee hired Kaylan Evans as its new animal control officer.
She will focus on daily care and detailed records while posting adoptable dogs on the shelter Facebook page to improve care and boost adoptions.
