ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Two 18-year-old best friends, Riley Ard and Tracyn Brady, died when a Honda Accord — driven by Ard — did not yield to a tow truck on FM 92 north of Silsbee at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, and DPS is investigating the crash. KFDM
- ➤ Three people were taken to the hospital after an apartment fire affected multiple units on the 4200 block of Houston Street in south Beaumont at about 12:05 p.m. Friday, and firefighters mostly contained the blaze to the attic—officials are still investigating the cause while residents were displaced. 12 News Now
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Beaumont police arrested three suspects after raiding two houses on Cable Avenue and an apartment on Texas 105 — a 53-year-old was found with narcotics, a 26-year-old with a handgun, and a 62-year-old with outstanding warrants — and all were booked at Jefferson County jail. Beaumont Enterprise

- ➤ The Beaumont Heritage Society will open a new exhibit on Agatha Babino at Heritage Hall in the French Museum from August 7 to October 3, sharing a firsthand account of her life. A free public reception is set for August 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.—featuring a Q&A with exhibit creator Dionne Babineaux and moderated by scholar Gordon Williams. KFDM
