CRIME NEWS

  • Beaumont police investigated a shooting early Saturday morning in the 3100 block of Grand Avenue—officers heard multiple gunshots and found a residence hit by gunfire with one person injured who was taken to a local hospital.  FOX 4 Beaumont
  • Beaumont Police Detectives discovered a body in the 3200 block of Concord Road—early checks say it may be the missing 66-year-old Linda Rogers, last seen in the 4400 block on May 12 as detectives work with the Jefferson County Crime Lab.  KFDM
  • Beaumont police investigated a disturbance and burglary on Corley and San Jacinto Saturday morning when officers were dispatched at 9:40 a.m.—a homeowner fired a round into the ground during the altercation and no one was injured.  KFDM
  • Beaumont Police intensified their search for Linda Rogers, a 66-year-old woman with diminished mental capacity who was reported missing on May 12 and last seen near the 4400 block of Concord Road in blue jeans, a tan shirt and pink slippers—officers increased their presence in the area on August 23.  FOX 4 Beaumont

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On Aug 20, TCEQ approved Beaumont New Ammonia’s permit expansion to add a second production train while noting that facility emissions remain within safe limits. The decision was made despite concerns from residents in Nederland and Kountze—officials said the measured emissions will continue to protect human health.  Beaumont Enterprise
