  • Go 4 The Bell held its second annual gala Saturday night at the Beaumont Civic Center and raised funds to help families with children battling cancer, with country singer Tracy Byrd headlining the event. The nonprofit supports treatment costs (including gas money, hotel costs, and everyday needs) in (Jefferson, Orange, Hardin, and Chambers) counties.  12 News Now

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Beaumont City Council approved the 2026 budget last week after considering council members' concerns to boost the fund balance by $3.1-million and lower the deficit to $4.5-million with a water rate freeze for seniors. City Manager Kenneth Williams said the balanced budget maintains the tax rate while allocating funds for public safety, new ambulances, and updated IT equipment.  Beaumont Enterprise
