Beaumont is hosting a busy week of local events including a BBB Professional Women’s Conference on Thursday at Doggett Ford Park, a whiskey tasting on Thursday evening at Longhorn Liquor, a Tacos & Tequila Fest on Saturday, Sept 27 at Teddy Morse’s Cowboy Harley, and an Art of Mental Health workshop on Monday at The Art Studio. Live music shows—Friday at The Logon Cafe and Saturday at Julie Rogers Theater—will round out the week.

Beaumont City Council is working with the City Manager and its three-person communications team to create a six-month plan after Council member Mike Williams raised concerns on Sept 8 about misleading messages and public trust.

The plan will focus on active media outreach and clear updates—aimed at restoring confidence in City Hall.

The 84th Beaumont city golf tournament will take place on October 18 and 19 at Henry Homberg Golf Course with a $60 entry fee for 36-hole medal play and three divisions—championship, presidential and senior—with golfers needing an established handicap and the city champion to be a Beaumont resident, and Jordan Soper is expected to defend his title while Austin Williams may also compete.

QB Tam Anderson passed for 223 yards and four touchdowns as West Brook beat Silsbee 49-14 on Friday night in Beaumont while RB Mason Manning rushed for 138 yards and four touchdowns in Orangefield's win over St. Louis Catholic on Thursday night.

Both players received Enterprise Game Balls for their strong Week 4 performances in Southeast Texas football.

The Lumberton Raiders will face the undefeated Bridge City Cardinals in the 409Sports Blitz Game on Friday at 7:30 p.m.—the upcoming matchup during homecoming will have Raiders, led by coach Chase McDonald, test Bridge City's strong defense as district play begins.
