- ➤ The Texas Energy Museum is hosting its 33rd annual Dinosaur Day event at 600 Main Street in Beaumont on October 18th. Families with children ages 2 to 12 will enjoy hands-on crafts, interactive games, and fossil digs—an event that will engage and educate participants. FOX 4 Beaumont
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Beaumont ISD approved school improvement plans to boost academic performance at low-performing campuses with a focus on improving reading and math scores for second through fifth grades. The plans include a needs assessment and set student outcome goals to raise STAAR scores by the 2025-2026 school year — the district also will work on enhancing curriculum and teacher capacity while addressing summer school attendance. - ➤ Fishing guides report excellent bass fishing at Sam Rayburn as shallow topwaters yield good catches while anglers at Toledo Bend and Athens work with low water levels — clear temperatures in the low 80s support active fishing.
