- ➤ Lamar University will host its biggest open house at Cardinal View on Saturday, October 25, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM so prospective students can explore campus life and learn about academic majors, financial aid, dorm life + scholarship opportunities. - ➤ Port Arthur native Dr. Harry Abrams Jr. released his new book—How to Heal Your Mind from Addiction to Deliverance—which explains how neuroscience and biblical ideas can retrain the brain to overcome destructive habits.
