  • Hundreds in costumes ran in downtown Beaumont on Saturday, October 25 for the Gift of Life Ribbon Run Monster Bash 5K—local groups cheered and provided water as the event raised funds for cancer prevention programs after a brief rain delay.  Beaumont Enterprise

  • On Oct 23, Stewart Title Insurance hosted the monthly Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce Mix and Mingle at 3050 Dowlen Road Suite G where local business members gathered for networking.   • A storm disrupted the nitrogen supply from a local plant this morning and forced many refineries and petrochemical facilities to shut down — Judge Jeff Branick said citizens may see flaring — and the supply is expected to resume within about six hours.  FOX 4 Beaumont

  • Five Orange County high school students won $1,000 for their creative writing on extreme weather and inequality, and their work will be published in a book titled 'The Storm Within' by Lamar University Press—backed by the Center for History and Culture and supported by Kate Williams.  Beaumont Enterprise

  • Strong thunderstorms swept through southeast Texas yesterday and left over 12,000 Entergy customers without power by 9 a.m. Saturday—Jefferson, Orange, and Hardin counties reported outages of 882, 535, and 86 respectively.  FOX 4 Beaumont
