- ➤ Beaumont food pantries are bracing for more need as many local families risk losing SNAP benefits when they stop on November 1 due to the government shutdown. Some Other Place will give food boxes Monday through Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m.—and Catholic Charities will offer curbside help on Tuesday from 3 to 6 and Saturday from 9 to noon—to support those affected. 12 News Now
