  • The Dugas Law Firm will hold its annual turkey giveaway drive-thru today from 9 a.m. to noon at the corner of Park and Wall Street in Beaumont—each car will receive one turkey. The Aref family will host its drive-thru giveaway on Monday at the old Mid-Jefferson Hospital parking lot at 2600 Highway 365 in Nederland.  KFDM
  • Holiday markets are planned across Southeast Texas over the coming weeks, with a Thanksgiving Vendor Market in Beaumont on Nov. 23, a Black Out Black Friday No-Buy Swap Meet on Nov. 28, and a 30th annual Main Street Market featuring over 60 vendors from Dec. 4 to Dec. 6—other events are scheduled in Vidor, Orange and Winnie.  Beaumont Enterprise

  • On Tuesday, November 20, the Event Centre in Beaumont hosted the 40 Under 40 event that honored 40 young professionals for their academic achievements, professional success, and community involvement. Ed Sturrock received the Legacy Award as he urged the honorees to keep striving for their goals—an evening organized by the Southeast Texas Young Professionals Organization, Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, and Beaumont Enterprise celebrated emerging local talent.  Beaumont Enterprise

  • Entergy Texas shared winter weather preparedness tips on November 20th to help Beaumont residents prepare their homes for colder conditions despite above-average temperatures. Paul Blackburn, the customer service manager, said the company assisted with seasonal billing changes and window preparations through a new program — ensuring residents were ready for winter.  KFDM
  • City leaders and downtown advocates are discussing the future of the empty lot at 555 Main Street—site of the former AT&T building—near Riverfront Park and the developing Crockett Street corridor.   • Allegiance Mobile Health launched a new medical helicopter service at Kirbyville Airport to boost emergency response in rural Jasper County and Beaumont.
