- ➤ Beaumont Animal Care is hosting a Holiday Heroes Foster Program that kicked off Tuesday and runs until Dec. 20—inviting residents to take a shelter dog out for the day without an appointment to give them a festive break from kennel life. Beaumont Enterprise
- ➤ Girls' Haven will host its annual Gumbo Cook-Off fundraiser on Saturday, December 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Parkdale Mall — teams will compete in three categories while guests taste gumbo and support the mission to provide a safe home for young girls. KFDM
- ➤ Education First Federal Credit Union employees raised over $13,500 through the Blue Jean fund and donated a $4500 check to three local nonprofits on Giving Tuesday. The funds will help make comfort kits for foster children, pay for free counseling for abuse survivors, and buy new computers for a day service center. KFDM
