  • Some Other Place volunteers are sorting and wrapping donated gifts daily in preparation for the Giving Tree Christmas toy distribution on Dec. 19; anyone with spare time is welcome to join (contact Kaitlin McCarter for details).  Beaumont Enterprise
  • ToyFeast invites residents to donate toys, food and cash to help seniors and families on Friday, Dec. 12. It airs on KFDM Channel 6 from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m.—on noon news with Patrina Adger and live on FOX Southeast Texas later in the morning.  FOX 4 Beaumont

  • Beaumont Bulk Solutions cement facility at 1745 Buford St secured a 10-year 100% tax abatement after a unanimous City Council vote on Dec.2—this project is set to invest $150.5 million and supply essential materials to local construction projects while pursuing further tax relief from regional authorities.  Beaumont Enterprise

  • The Chambers House Museum invites Beaumont residents to step back in time at its vintage holiday event Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 2240 Calder Ave — featuring crafts for children, a vendor market, music on the family piano, and museum tours with holiday decorations until Jan. 5.  KFDM
  • At 4155 Laurel Ave, Southeast Texas Stage presents holiday plays as A Christmas Carol runs through Dec. 14 and A Very Beaumont Christmas—which includes a tribute play for Coretta Scott King announced on the noon show—opened Dec. 5.  FOX 4 Beaumont

HEALTH NEWS

  • Express Mart and Gift of Life hosted the 13th annual Rudy Reindeer fundraiser on Dec. 8, raising funds for free breast, prostate, and mental health screenings in the area. The event will launch a 2026 initiative offering $25 gift cards to help ease grocery hardships.  FOX 4 Beaumont

SPORTS NEWS

  • A review found that Beaumont ISD's Doggett Family Stadium is ranked seventh on a list of Texas high school football venues, with its 2010 cost of $47.3 million (adjusted to $68.2 million) raised after an audit uncovered concealed expenses.
