- ➤ The Enterprise Empty Stocking Fund, Southeast Texas’ oldest charity campaign, marks 110 years of giving by providing toys for children each Christmas season. It began in 1914 as a milk and ice program and now accepts donations via mail and online (using PayPal and QR codes). Beaumont Enterprise
- ➤ Community 180, co-founded by David Richard & Sharissa, will host its 5th Annual Christmas Toy Giveaway at Bob Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur on Saturday, Dec. 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to ensure children in southeast Texas wake up with a gift for Christmas. KFDM
- ➤ Heavy traffic built on Interstate 10 west and US 69 near the south exit ramp in Beaumont on Monday morning, slowing speeds to around 25 mph. TDOT reported it was a typical commute and promised an evening update. Beaumont Enterprise
- ➤ Paula Baxter continues the 6th annual Warm Winter Wishes blanket drive now through Wednesday, Dec. 17 — collecting new blankets for seniors and the homeless as temperatures drop. Drop-offs are available at sites such as Classic of SETX and Southern Home Health. KFDM
- ➤ Henry’s Place in Beaumont is extending its hours tonight to offer warmth, blankets, and shelter as near-freezing temperatures arrive, while the local transit system runs a Bad Weather Route each evening to help residents reach safe shelters. FOX 4 Beaumont

- ➤ The Indian Cultural Center at 1710 North Major Drive is replacing its old building with a new 2,800 sqft metal structure while keeping its bathroom and kitchen intact. It is set to open in 2026 as reported by the India Association of Southeast Texas. Beaumont Enterprise

- ➤ West Orange-Stark and Newton are back in state championship contention, with Newton meeting Wall in a Class 3A-II contest Thursday (in Arlington) and WO-S facing Carthage Friday.
