Truth on the Go, a popular food truck, remains off the road after a fire destroyed its tow truck in North Beaumont and owner Joannie Nichols continues to serve soul food at Lucas and Concord while raising funds on a GoFundMe account.

Beaumont is one of 10 Texas cities competing for a custom mural through the Texas Monthly and Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Star-Spangled Texas Campaign in celebration of America's 250th birthday.

Voting is open and only the top three cities will receive new public art installations.
