Tanner Hunt Jr. passed away peacefully on April 6 surrounded by his three children at age 89 after a long career serving school districts and hosting a bluegrass radio show—he was a well-known figure in Beaumont.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 3 p.m. at his family home.
